Oculus Pre-orders have now opened, however the shocker came with the price tag in the last few days, and not the hardware itself. If you’ve been living under a rock for the past couple of years, Oculus Rift is a Virtual Reality headset, which has been in testing for some time now. It promises more immersive gameplay with supported games on PC, and they’re adding more games daily, which we’ll cover in more detail in future reports.
The latest version is the final product, which comes fully equipped with the headset itself and an Xbox One controller – the latter being up to £60 on its own. For those who’ve not seen the Rift as yet, take a closer look at what comes packaged just here
All Rift pre-orders will also be graced with two games; EVE: Valkyrie and Lucky’s Tale.
Heres the sting however. the whole package will set you back $600, expect that be around £500. Other companies have jumped on the VR bandwagon with Sony and Microsoft both getting their own version heading to the market soon.
The first shipments of the Oculus Rift are expected March 28 2016 and is currently only supported on PC, if you’ve been lucky enough to lay down the cash and are eagerly awaiting your Oculus in the post let us know in the comments below.
