If you’re following our YouTube these days, you’ll know that we’re recently (and slightly belatedly) started up with the Puzzle Adventure Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments. If you’ve watched our first episode, you’ll know the though it’s not our normal point and click cerebral fodder, it’s definitely one that we are thoroughly enjoying, even though we’re only on our first case.
More good news has come today from Bigben Interactive and Frogwares, who have released packshots for a sequel, as well as a release date of May 27th this year, and we’re excited already. If you want to take a look below the boxart is looking pretty good (And don’t worry, it IS coming out on PS4 as well!) and if you check at the bottom of the page you can check out Episode One in our playthrough of Crimes and Punishments, which is one of my favourite puzzle games in recent years.
If you’ve not had the pleasure of playing it as yet, Frogwares stepped up their game between the Mystery Of The Mummy in 2002 and Crimes and Punishements in 2014. Playing in the third person, there’s a great blend of observation, critical thinking and, sometimes, just pure luck in the new titles. We’ve only just started playing but it’s refreshing that the developers have gone back to a more Rathbone style of Sherlock than Bendybum Floopdekiss and we’re looking forward to the new adventure where we’re promised Sherlock will be torn apart ans shaken by emotion as he is caught between his family, dark forces, and a powerful thirst for vengance.
If you’ve not seen Crimes and Punishments as yet, take a look at the playthrough below and as ever let us know if you’d like any more information
