Resident Evil Gets New Lease of Life (Trailer)

At the Tokyo Game Show a little earlier today, Capcom confirmed several new details regarding the Resident Evil 7 Biohazard release and demo. Currently available exclusively to PS Plus subscribers, we know that the demo has reached now over 3 million downloads worldwide since its release. We’re also told that as of today (September 15th) a “Twilight” version of the demo will be released, which allows players to explore more of the mysterious, derelict mansion. The Twilight expansion will be available for all PS4 users to download.

We also have a new trailer released which can be seen just below, covering the intense new combat which can be expected in the title, however with graphics scenes and an 18 rating of course this is not for the feint of heart.

Pre-orders for Resi 7 will as well soon be available on PS4 across Europe, the Middle East and Africa and things seem to be going down the same road as most other titles at the moment.

The standard edition of the title can be pre-ordered shortly for €64.99 / £49.99 and will include a custom theme for your console.

Users in the EMEA regions will also have the option to pre-order the Day-1 Survival Edition, or Deluxe edition, with the Day-1 edition being available to purchase only until the games full release (the price here being €69.99/ £52.99) and will contain

  • Custom theme for your console
  • Survival Pack (consumable health items in game, an early unlock of Madhouse mode and a Lucky Coin in game item which we have yet to hear more about)

The Deluxe Edition is priced at €94.99/ £69.99 will include all the content from the Day-1 Survival Edition as well as a Season Pass containing access to three additional playable story episodes which will be launching after the title’s release

Preorders for Microsoft and Steam digital releases will be available in the coming weeks and of course the game launches fully on January 24th, early next year. Resident Evil 7 Biohazard will be available on Playstation 4, Playstation VR, Xbox One and PC upon launch.
